Launch raised the candle so close to Bulma’s face that she could feel the cut of the flame, the thin hair on her upper lip singeing. “You’ll get what you deserve, stupid slut,” Launch bit out. “So until then, shut the fuck up!”
The heat was suddenly gone, replaced with the acrid scent of smoke as Launch’s breath accidentally extinguished the candle. A disbelieving laugh escaped Bulma at the flub even as she preemptively flinched away from the strike she knew would come as a result of her insolence.
Nothing came, though, and Bulma realized exactly why when she heard Launch’s sharp intake of breath. “Launch-” she said, but even if there was some sort of preventative action she could have taken without the use of her limbs or sight, it was too late.
Launch sneezed.

Midoriya stands in front of the window now, staring out at the endless expanse of stars. He turns when Shouto enters. Like Bakugou, he's dressed casually, in a simple grey shirt that stretches over his chest. His green eyes blink wide as though in surprise, before he smiles. It's sheepish and shy. In front of the window, the vastness of space flung out behind him, he's as stunning as a supernova.
"I did, right," he says. "The, um, the thermostat… seems to be, maybe—"
Bakugou cuts him off with a loud sigh. "Quit wastin' his time and tell him why he's really here."

Shouto is a remote crew member of a spaceship—his real body is stationed on a world far away, but his consciousness is housed in a maintenance bot on board the ship. When he manages to attract the attention of the ship's gorgeous captain and fiery first officer, it doesn't take long to discover that the bot's adjustable sensitivity levels have more enjoyable applications than repair work.

"Latte with a double shot of espresso for Bakugou… hm, is it Kagami? Katsumi..." Shouto sets the coffee down and then props his elbow on the counter, cheek resting on his palm as he watches Katsuki take a sip and grimace.
"You burned the milk," he says.
Everyone in Japan knows his name, but he still feels his breath catch slightly when Shouto says, "Ah, right, it's Katsuki, isn't it?"
Shouto doesn't quite smile, he rarely does, but somehow the teasing still reaches his eyes. He has eyes like no other, two separate colors of cloudy and clear skies, both distinct enough to stop Katsuki in his tracks. They make him feel like he's forgotten his own damn name every time.

In recent years, it's been assumed that the appearance of soul bonds has disappeared. Katsuki, a cocky pro hero, and Shouto, the barista at Katsuki's favorite coffee shop, are about to discover that's not quite true.
