Summary
"Buck, what's wrong?" Eddie asked as he pressed his hand over his forehead, his heart stopping slightly when he felt the clammy skin underneath his palm.
Buck closed his eyes as a small whimper escaped him, his free arm wrapping around his middle while a groan of pain escaped him. "The fuck is wrong with him?" Dominic asked, shooting Buck a disgusted look. Eddie shot him a snarl before another groan of pain escaped Buck's lips. Just then, Eddie felt a gush of liquid hit the ground, and suddenly his face turned pale. How could he have not picked up on the signs earlier? The exhaustion, the on and off nausea that went away. The change in his scent? While Mitchell gazed at Buck with growing interest, Eddie's whole body turned into stone.
Hia mate had just gone into labour. And he had no idea he was pregnant.

Summary
It must’ve rode up after he pointed the whisk, and up until now, Eddie hadn’t even realized Buck wasn’t wearing an apron — which was definitely weird. Buck always wore one as he baked or cooked. Eddie had to force his gaze away from the tiny, yet very evident round appearance of his boyfriend’s stomach.
Buck returned to his glaze making, oblivious to Eddie’s stares, which Eddie continued on doing, completely baffled. With a recoil from him mentally slapping himself, Eddie forced his brain to quit overthinking — he was being cruel, right? Buck had been struggling with weight, who was Eddie to deliberately notice it in a way that felt…presumptuous. There was nothing Eddie could do but shake the thoughts out of his head and return to the stubborn bills awaiting him. Buck had been steady — fighting back the rewrites his brain and body seemed to permit. Sure, it had been challenging to keep track of the cravings, mood swings, and the physical changes Buck swore was happening—
“Oh shit,” Eddie verbally said, face dropping.
Buck was pregnant.
OR: After a few challenging days, Eddie realizes something about Buck, and unfortunately, doesn't have the heart to tell him.

Summary
“I was brushing my teeth and saw how crooked the cabinets were—I wanted to fix the hinges real quick, that’s all. Promise.”
“I think you were doing a lot more than that, Eddie,” Buck laughed under his breath, rubbing his temple as he tried to calm himself down after getting up so fast. “You’re usually so quiet at night, you freaked me out.”
Eddie, frowning, realized the weight of his actions and maneuvered his body to come in front of Buck. He carefully lifted Buck’s face in his hands and gazed into the ocean eyes that could easily swallow him whole. “M’sorry about that, darling. Things have been… bugging me more lately, that’s all.”
“I read online that…” Buck drawled at the same time Eddie chuckled in disbelief, “…you’re nesting.”
“Nesting?” Eddie blinked, tugging the corner of his lips into a small smirk.
“Yeah,” Buck gently lowered Eddie’s arms. He gestured to the bathroom once more, but this time, with an obvious scan of a simple, nonjudgmental stare. He met Eddie’s brown eyes again with a pointed look. “Nesting.”
OR: 5 times Eddie experienced nesting before Buck had their twins, and 1 time he didn't have to.

Summary
Chris continues to chatter in Eddie’s ear, and Eddie half listens as Buck goes up to Margaret and hands her the tape measurer he’d been holding. She stares at him with one tape measurer in each hand now, eyebrows drawn in confusion as he smiles and waves goodbye at her.
“See you later!” Buck calls as he exits the loft with Chris.
Eddie is only a few feet behind, but he looks at her, gives her a polite but fake smile, and says, “See you later, Maggie!” as he closes the door. He only catches the first half of her spluttering and protest of the name as the door shuts behind him.
