“You're my Dad, right?” Luffy asked, words heavy with desperation. He took a step forward, unsure of what it entailed.
“Yes.” Dragon swallowed hard, voice caught in his throat. “I am, Luffy."
He could have just lied, forget this whole thing had transpired, and let the wind take him back to the army he had created, the one he chose over the son he had currently standing right in front of him.
But to deny that he is Luffy's father is like killing himself in the process.
Or, Dragon takes back his son, but gains three in the process.

Sewn together, hearts beating in sync. He tried his hardest to keep his distance, but children are the vulnerability of any parent.

Summary
Sometimes Katsuki Bakugo felt like he was running a race alone, and no matter how fast he went, every step he took got him no closer to the finish line. It continued to move farther and farther away, keeping pace with him, continuously infuriating and unreachable. It was on those days that he felt more like his old self, the short-tempered boy trying too hard to do more than he was capable of and slowly imploding in the process.
Today was one of those days.
Or: Bakugo struggles after the war, and it gets a little messy

The three day observership was meant to be just that, an observational ride-along. A peek into regular hero work, unaffected by the s-rank villains that had shaped 1-A's experiences so far. While any other student would be thrilled to get assigned to the No.2 hero, Bakugou feels nothing but irritation.

“You think I like choosing who gets saved?” Hawks said quietly. “You think if I could fly right now, I wouldn’t be halfway to that ridge already, leaving you to play escort?”Bakugou’s glare hardened.
“But I can’t,” Hawks said. “And you’re the only person I trust to hit back hard enough when it matters.”
Silence thickened. Somewhere below, a child cried, just once. Thin and distant.
