When Draco finds a random notebook under a table in the back of the library, he really — given his family’s history with suspiciously enchanted books — should leave it and move on with his life. But for some reason, whether it was the delicate, albeit messy inscription of “I exist in two places, here and where you are” on the first page or the multiple entries clearly searching for a response from someone, his curiosity forced him to hold onto it. Was this someone’s journal he had found? He could turn it in easily. He really should, this person might be searching for their journal to no avail. But when he decides to write back to the poor soul’s prompts out of loneliness, the last thing he expected was a response.
