The party has waned. Soldier, Zhanna, General, and Georgia have fallen asleep in a messy pile on the couch. Medic, Heavy, and Heavy’s mother (and Archimedes, and the baboon,) have all gone back to their hotel despite much protest, needing to wake up early tomorrow to catch a flight back to Siberia for New Year’s, which Heavy’s mother refuses to spend anywhere but home. Yana and Bronislava have gone out to explore Boston with strict instructions to be back at the hotel by morning. Sniper has been convinced to stay, and is talking quietly with Demo in the rec room in the basement, as to not wake Mrs. Degroot or Eyelander up, both of whom will have bad hangovers come morning. Engineer and Pyro are taking a breather in the backyard with Mancha, the dalmatian. And the other children-
“You’re supposed to be in bed, I think.” Spy chides. The little girl who has wandered out onto the porch rubs her eyes and grabs onto his pant leg.
Or: After the big Smissmas party, Spy and Scout have a conversation about being present.

Sniper wakes up with a bad case of amnesia, and is just socially awkward enough to not do the sane thing and just tell people he doesn't know who they are, or who he is. Learning about his coworkers and the job they do via context clues doesn't make his situation any better, because hes pretty sure if word gets out that he has amnesia, that Medic guy will not hesitate to cut his head open.
Surely making a polite request of the enemy Spy is the more reasonable thing to do?

That’s the word she always uses. Delicate. Like he’s a teacup or something. Mick hates it, and his dad hates it too, but the word he uses is hardly better. He always says that Mick is “just different”, and Mick knows by now that when people say “different” in that tone of voice, it’s not a good kind of different.
But “different” is definitely better than “delicate”.
