Summary
Jack's younger brother stumbles back into his life via Dennis' couch, through a mutual kidnapping. His presence forces those directly involved to face things they perhaps wouldn't have otherwise. Featuring a pissy Robby, an exasperated Jack, a grieving and lost Pope, and a Dennis who's tired of people thinking that since he grew up on a farm, his life was wholesome and innocent.

Summary
Dennis is just trying to catch his breath in the ambulance bay. They're caught up on the morning nursing home rush as much as they can be and it's only about noon. For a half second, he thinks Dr. Abbott is stumbling towards him, covered in blood. He only notices when he's nearly in front of Abbott’s doppelganger that he's wearing shorts and there's a flesh and bone leg where his prosthetic should be.
“Hey, you look like you could use some help,” Dennis says, reaching out to offer his arm but not touching him. “I'm Dr. Whitaker.”

Summary
After killing Cath Pope panics. He doesn't want to go back to Smurf, so he takes Lena and runs for it. Unwilling to stay in California he sets off for Pennsylvania to find his older half-brother who he hasn't seen since he was little. Of course nothing ever goes he hopes and he ends up bleeding in an alley. Luckily for him he is found by a very tired Dennis Whitaker who makes sure he doesn't die there. They get attached, and if we are being honest co-dependent, very quickly.
