For a second he'd wondered if everything else had been a dream. If he was finally waking up now, after all these years. That Never Come Down had never been a hit, that he'd never been famous at all. That it was him and Matt who were going on tour.
That was something they used to talk about. After booking the Rivoli, they'd tour Canada and the U.S. as Nirvanna the Band. A road trip adventure. Jay had such a clear image in his mind of Matt coming up with some crazy promotional stunt for them, something like jumping into the Grand Canyon.
“You with me, Bird?”
But no, that couldn't be right. Jay was the same Jay he'd always been. He was still in his Hawaiian shirt from the concert. He was in restraints.
“Did you—" He blinked at Matt in front of him. "You kidnapped me?”
Matt stood up, a little taken back. “How else would I be able to talk to you?"
God, they'd ended up in a Misery homage?On the first night of Canadian Rockstar Jay McCarrol’s world tour, the man disappears.

A grin spread across Hawkeye’s face. “You’re in good hands, Beej. I’m a great teacher.”
BJ freed his wrists, Hawk hooking his fingers in BJ’s front belt loops, pulling him close. “I was always teacher’s pet,” he confessed.In Maine, BJ lets himself have this.

Summary
BJ finishes the sauce, lifting up the wooden spoon to Hawk's lips. Eagerly, Hawk leans in and tastes it.
"God, that's heavenly," he giggles, fingernails scratching softly over BJ's belly. "What is it?"
“Chicken a la King,” BJ grins, rather proud. “Biscuits are in the oven.”
He lets out an exaggerated gasp. “Well, aren't I spoiled?”
Hawkeye comes home from a rough shift. BJ tries his best to make it better.

His body moved before his brain could catch up, rushing forward and running across the pavement, charging into his best friend.
With a yelp, Hawkeye Pierce was in BJ’s arms again.
It was delightful the way BJ knocked the wind right out of him, Hawkeye having to grab his arms tight to avoid toppling over. If he’d cared any less about appearances, BJ would hoist him in the air and spin him around, if only for the crazy laugh that would bubble out of Hawk as he did it.
“Christ!” Hawkeye laughed, pressing his hands on either side of BJ’s head. “Aren’t I the luckiest gal in the world?”
His eyes shone bright, his smile wide as ever. He glowed under BJ’s gaze, just as he always had.
BJ instantly forgot about the knot, forgot about anything else but the release of an ache deep in his bones. I’m here, something gasped in relief, flooding him with excitement. He’d finally made it to Maine.

“Oh my goodness!” Someone gasps.
“Ow,” Davy gripes. He’s fuzzy from the momentum, but he knows he should keep running before he’s caught. He rolls over onto his back and slowly sits up, trying to regain his composure.
“Are you okay?” The person who gasped drops to his side. A stranger. One of the gardeners, probably.“M’fine,” Davy mumbles, rubbing his cheek.
“You don’t look fine,” the gardener frowns. Davy turns to meet his gaze, soft brown eyes looking at him full of concern. Woah.
In which a mischievous prince is actually a hopeless romantic, finding himself falling for a simple gardener, this crush turning him from a charming playboy into a bumbling fool.
