Summary
Regulus survived and had betrayed Voldemort in the span of five hours.
Death Eaters were following him, his own brother hated him for being a traitor and his house elf was too sick due to the Dark Lord's poison administrations to help him.
He had the horrcrux in his hands and decided to do something to destroy it, to destroy Voldemort. War had to stop but the death of his father turned into him being the chosen one by the Dark Lord, and so his plans seemed completely impossible to achieve.
