Summary
A recent transition to London has left one Metro Police Officer in the midst of several city crimes and the occasional government conspiracy. She often seems to cross paths with MI5, although, she is quite unaware. Summary
To sum up to date: post-TLJ, the FO won the war, Kylo abdicated/was kicked out, Hux negotiated peace and set up a new government in collaboration with the defeated Republic, Poe seduces Hux on a lark at negotiations and it bizarrely works, they fall in love. Months pass, new gov is set up, Hux resigns, marries Poe, moves to Yavin IV with Poe. If you want the details, see the other Grey Order stories.
But starting from here, Poe and Hux are married (or about to be - chapter 1 is set a few days before the wedding) and trying to figure out their new lives together. Transitioning to civilian life is a huge upheaval for anyone in the military. Add on moving from single to married. Add on moving into a totally different culture for Hux. Add on years of unaddressed, repressed trauma, also on Hux's part. Add on a helpfully interfering Force sensitive tree. And then there's Kes, Poe's father, who hates the Empire, the dark side, and anything that looks like either of those ... like Hux ... who has married Kes' son, so he's got to get over himself.
It's not a recipe for happily ever after, but by the Force, Poe and Hux are going to try!
