Summary
Buck feels like he’s vibrating out of his skin. Smoothing his palms over his thighs seems to be enough to reassure himself he’s not actually vibrating. The Jeep’s engine has been off for a few minutes now, but Buck thinks he can still feel the rumble coming from it.
He really doesn’t want anything to go wrong for his first shift back post-lightning. But. Here he is with superpowers.
He’d like to say it came out of nowhere, but Buck can think of one recent event in his life that could explain this new ability to move faster than the speed of light.

Buck dies and comes back, not wrong, but different. And of course, he can't even deal with sudden superpowers in peace because someone's trying to disrupt his life in a brand new way.

Hen shrugs, then her eyes flick upwards, landing on where Breya is lounging in the rafters above his head, a foreleg swinging back and forth. “She walked right up to you all on her own.”
“To glare at me.” She waves that off like it hadn't set the tone for the whole day.
“You were a stranger, they’re protective. They’re not too great with meeting people who stick around. But that's what I'm getting at. I’ve never met a daemon like her.”
