Summary
Among the beastfolk of the Morningstar Empire, there was a pervasive belief that alphas, while necessary, were an evil that society could only endure if they were strictly regulated. Known for incredible strength and terrible tempers, every alpha needed to be mated by their thirtieth birthday. Only having an omega could keep them from flying into dangerous rages that would (and had) resulted in violent outbursts in times long past.
Simply put, Lucifer was a flawed alpha born into a system that was not designed to tolerate them.

Summary
When Alastor had laid another body at his feet, Lucifer thanked him for following through.
The one after that, Lucifer’s eyes had crinkled around the edges in delight, and Alastor had to force himself to look away.
Their meetings were few, but perhaps that only made them feel more electric. It was a balancing act, as all things are, in killing enough to satisfy his newfound patron and also ensuring that those he slaughtered were deserving of his wrath.
If he found himself chomping at the bit to bloody his hands, it was clearly only because he could not stand the idea of such scum wandering the planet freely. It had nothing to do with the way the devil’s eyes lingered on his hands as they gripped a knife, or the way his eyes flickered between a shimmering yellow and an inferno of red with each kill.
Lucifer was, perhaps, simply an ego-swelling side effect.
That’s all.

Summary
A tale of possession and an unholy bond in two parts.
______
“Why sire, I had no idea you could dance,” Alastor purred.
“Young man,” Lucifer jibed, “I’ll have you know I’ve been dancing quite a great deal longer than you. If you think this is something, one day I’ll teach you to dance La Volta.”
“I look forward to it,” the Radio Demon growled in his ear and Lucifer tried so hard not to feel a way about that.
“Watch yourself…” Lucifer growled back, but far more softly.

Summary
Alastor is no fool; he knows exactly where his soul will be going once his clock stops ticking. It’s pointless to argue and, in his opinion, even more pointless to show up empty handed.
He spends progressively more time attempting to contact the other side for some kind of mutually beneficial arrangement, bodies piling up in his wake. While Alastor has never been a stranger to nightmares, the surge of them he experiences with each failed ritual attempt is becoming catastrophic to his ability to function until the only time sleep claims him is by force.
But when those restless nights are replaced with hazy visages of dark hands combing through his hair, petal-soft lips upon his forehead, and the impossible sensation of wings cradling him, he realizes that he has attracted the attention of something much larger than a mere dealmaking demon.
But, Alastor is not a foolish man.
So, when this creature of dreams offers him a deal, what can he do but accept?
