Ben lives in a small provincial village close to the forest. He loves to wander through the woods and draw, but one day he gets lost and a small magical being helps him get home in return for his firstborn. Being fifteen at the time Ben doesn't think much of it. But faun Rey will remember and she will hunt him down to collect. Too bad Ben won't take anyone but her as the mother of his child.

Sure, the sex was good. Great. At times, considerably fantastic.
Better than anything she gets with anyone else.
But statistically, there should be someone out in the world for her that was as compatible with her body and … everything else about her. Right?
Ben’s fingers drift across her chest and twist, unkindly, at her other nipple.
“Ow!”
Opening her eyes, she slaps his hand.
“Just making sure you didn’t fall asleep on my favorite pillow.”
Surely, there was someone out there who was better for her and less of a misanthropic asshole?
“Afraid I’ll glom onto you and your sappiness?”
Ben frowns in a moment of brief consternation before making up his mind. He drags his hand from her chest down to her hip, then pushes until she rolls firmly onto her back.
He even has the gall to smirk at the ease with which it takes to bend one of her knees out to make room for himself between her legs.
