"What if I help you?" Grace blurts out desperately, sweating even in the coolness of his house as his words finally manage to stop Adrian from storming out.
"What?" Adrian says after a tense moment.
"I can prove it to everyone," Grace says, his heart in his throat. "I'll - I'll make you and Rocky the most celebrated couple on Erid. I promise."
"Stupid human," Adrian hisses. "You would give up your chance for him just like that?"
"Yes," Grace says hoarsely.
"Anything for him."

Summary
He was still holding the candle. Slowly Arthur tipped it over, wax dripping down on John's hand.
Arthur, John said and his voice sounded strangled, almost breathless, making another shudder run down Arthur's spine.
"Oops," Arthur said and nobody would buy him actually meaning it, least of all John. "How clumsy of me. You should move your hand if you don't want this to happen again."
He could feel John's hand flexing on his knee. Opening and closing again. But not moving. Not pulling away.

Summary
Arthur kept going, moving his hand back down again and John let the arm fall down on his thigh, suddenly not feeling like he had the strength to keep holding it up anymore.
It proved an excellent idea. It proved an extreme mistake. Because Arthur’s hand suddenly moved on from his arm towards his thigh and the goosebumps seemed to now be covering John’s entire body.
John and Arthur swap control of the body and John gets to experience something new.

Arthur knew he was smiling again, and his mind raced to make sense of the pressure against his skin. “It's like air, but unmoving. Cooler than flesh would be. There’s no texture to it. I… I've never felt anything like it.” Before he could stop himself, he added, “It's nice.”
John made a soft, surprised sound. Another touch, on Arthur's other cheek, cradling his face like crystal. Almost shyly, he said, “Good. I want to make you feel nice.”
