Summary
Harvey was mid-sentence, explaining to a room full of associates why their brilliant idea was actually a lawsuit waiting to happen, when he felt it. That subtle warmth under the skin, the faint shift in the air that told him his biology had decided to put in a request. Not a heat. Not yet. Just the pre-heat, the warning shot. His pheromones edged into something richer, deeper, like polished wood and expensive whiskey left open too long.
He didn’t react. He never did. Harvey Specter did not fidget. He did not flush. He powered through the rest of the meeting, dismissed everyone with a look, and turned—
—to find Mike Ross with his nose approximately three inches from Harvey’s jaw.

Summary
Harvey had been checking his watch for the past ten minutes, which was ridiculous, because Aaron Hotchner had never been late to anything in his life. If Aaron said seven-thirty, he meant seven-thirty, and if he meant seven-thirty, he would walk through the doors of the bar at precisely that time, probably having already scoped the exits and memorized the layout.
Still, Harvey checked his watch.
It had been years. Not the occasional email or holiday call or the... funeral, but actual years since they’d sat down face to face. Harvard felt like another lifetime. Back then, Aaron had been all sharp arguments, quiet in a way that made professors nervous. He’d had that steady gaze even at twenty-two, like he could see straight through a cross-examination and into the truth underneath. Harvey had admired that. He’d also enjoyed trying to get a rise out of him.

Summary
Mike noticed the first gold star because it didn’t belong.
It sat on the corner of a case file like it had wandered there by accident, bright and obnoxiously cheerful against a sea of black text and yellow legal pad scribbles. For a second he thought it was some leftover from the mailroom, maybe something stuck to Harvey’s folder before it made its way upstairs. He turned the file slightly, expecting it to fall off.
It didn’t.

Summary
The first time Mike broke into Harvey Specter’s apartment, it was for an extremely valid and professionally responsible reason.
Which was exactly what he told himself while kneeling in the hallway outside Harvey’s door at eleven-thirty at night with a bent paperclip in one hand and six hundred pages of merger documents tucked under his arm.

Summary
Mike’s gaze drifted toward Harvey again.
Harvey was focused, expression sharp, one hand resting against his jaw while he read. Tie loosened slightly. Sleeves rolled just so.
An absolutely terrible idea occurred to Mike.
The thing about terrible ideas was that Mike usually experienced them the way normal people experienced sneezes. There was a brief moment where prevention might theoretically be possible, followed by immediate inevitability.
So before his brain caught up with him, Mike leaned forward and poked Harvey directly in the cheek.
