And maybe he was too exhausted to think properly. Or his brain was too hazy from being rudely roused awake from a half-sleeping state. Or maybe he’s just so damn tired of Lighter running away that he didn’t waste any time to swing his leg over and straddle the man.
Below him, Lighter went deathly still.
Took every escape route out of the man, and they would have no choice but to stay.
“Now, Lighter,” Wise began with a smile. “Do you think I haven’t noticed all those occasions you hugged me was only when I’m synced with Eous?”
Lighter’s hands on his waist twitched. Wise hoped he’s not going to throw him on reflex and dash away despite the locked door.
He didn't want to resort to the ropes he hid underneath his bed.
“So, why do you refuse to hug me directly?”
[Or: Lighter keeps hugging (read: be as physically close as possible) Wise when he’s in Eous form but can’t seem to do so in person.]

Summary
It's then that Wise gets his wires crossed, distracted as he is by petting Inky while running on low sleep due to his insomnia. Instead of saying "thank you" like a normal person would, when he takes the pouch from Lighter's hand, he ends up saying,
"Good boy."
Lighter freezes.
Wise blinks, eyeing the sudden pause.
Then he thinks.
And—
"Oh," he stammers, flustered. "I didn't mean—sorry, I got distracted petting Inky. I meant 'thank you', not…not that."
Wise and Lighter hang out after watching a film together in Wise's room. Shenanigans ensue.

WHAT AN ADORABLE FIC!!! love the easy banter between the two. and I love the characterization of wise being prone to overthinking and not good with romance (or even letting people in). so it's nice to see how perfectly they fit well together... and the bet made me laugh.

“Mind if I touch you?” Lighter murmurs, cheek brushing against Wise’s hair. “Just on the chin.”
Wise can’t help from smiling. Work is work so he’s used to a lot of inconveniences—people doing as they like with him, people being rude, people assuming things without his permission—but Lighter’s proving to be a breath of fresh air in such a short amount of time.
He’s not a professional model, but he’s standing out as one of the best coworkers Wise has had so far.
“I like your initiative,” he murmurs, head tilting away from the camera. “Go on, touch me.”
Wise is used to the hardships of modeling, but that doesn't mean he doesn't dislike it when his model partners bail on him.
Enter Lighter Lorenz.

Summary
After a particular mission goes south for Section 6, two acquaintances of Asaba Harumasa receive the same surprising news of his sudden death, and a request to aid in further investigation.
While Seth Lowell and the Phaethon siblings deal with the shock, a bigger plan is set in motion. For justice, for truth, and for a lot healing.
Like an arrow shot into the dark, he flew too far ahead. But this is Asaba Harumasa: his aim is always true.
TLDR: near-death experience? More like fake-death experience. Harumasa climbs new heights in "how badly can he claim to have been hurt to get that sick leave" and ends up working in the process.

The officer nods in what he thinks is solemn agreement, while the agent grits his teeth. Akira manages to suppress a smile.

Summary
Goro stands there, politely looking away as Akira coughs and heaves into the toilet. Despite the circumstances, Goro doesn’t find himself disgusted by the sight in front of him, and instead he’s hit with a wave of restless energy. Consumed by the need to do something and yet infuriatingly unable to do anything. His hands clench into fists so tight he can feel the imprint of his nails in the flesh of his palm.
It’s only when it finally seems as if Akira’s finished for the moment, clutching at the rim and trying to catch his breath, that Goro finally speaks.
“Why do you insist on acting like everything is fine when you’re clearly not feeling well?”

Akira's at a loss of what they should do, until an old enemy mentions someone from his past.
Turns out Goro Akechi is alive, and might be able to help him stop these unexplained tragedies. But to do that, they'll have to actually discuss the past and their connection to one another.

Summary
Akechi knows that he’s not supposed to be able to hear Morgana. Maintaining the illusion of ignorance is vital if he wants to gain Akira’s trust and guarantee his death. It’s just a shame that Morgana insists on testing his patience during every interaction. The amount of insults he’s had to endure with a straight face is ridiculous. Still, he tells himself that he just has to curb his indignation until November. Then his plan will culminate in the assassination of the Phantom Thieves’ leader. With Akira gone, Shido will win the election - and Akechi’s moment for revenge will arrive.
He’s so close to victory that he can taste it in the back of his throat. If the biggest obstacle to his success is a talking cat, then he’s gotten pretty lucky.
Unfortunately, he underestimates just how much of a roadblock Akira himself will turn out to be.
