Lily Evans found that need beautiful. Sweet. The way people reach for each other.
Remus Lupin doesn’t see it the same way. If you ask him, belonging is a weakness. Needing people only gives him something to lose. He doesn’t need anyone. He can’t afford to.
It’s been three years since Lily Evans left Hogwarts. Three years since she walked away from the world where she belonged, even as it told her she didn’t. At twelve years old, she made her choice to leave.
She won’t ever admit how wrong she was.
When fate reunites her with a ghost form the past, a door to that world opens again.
Can she go back?
After all, the Sorting Hat did say she’d come to it twice.Or - Lily Evans leaves Drag Marks, forever scared of being forgotten. Why is that?

Summary
Sirius felt like he was about to lose the very last bit of sanity as he pulled up the sleeve of his white dress shirt and stared at the bold letters on his arm. He knew it would happen eventually; he couldn’t escape from connecting to his soulmate forever. Some pathetic part of himself had hoped for a romantic first message, maybe a doodle during class or even a quick reminder for an important appointment, but seeing a phone number, that was clearly not meant for him, accompanied by a ‘CALL ME ;)’ was -in all honesty- disappointing.
