Wind-tossed roadblocks arranged into a crude pathway would make an inviting entrance for any desperate traveller. The sound of the stampeding waterfall was just out of earshot as boots crossed the toppled wire fence. A stop sign bent out of sorts, prickled vines hugging porous walls with vigour. A discarded cellphone. Trodden on. Broken glass doors with faint, pained moans of the eroded building frame. Audible if everything else was silent.
Any whisper of Filgaia had been silenced for years, however.
A bulletin board, with reminders and pictures of employees. A fire hose and blanket. A coat on the sharp edge of a cabinet. A creaked, hanging jaw swinging under a set of jaundiced, glossy eyes.
A narrative retelling of the Wild Arms (PS1) story through the lens of a semi-modern zombie apocalypse. This came to me randomly in a chemistry class and I wanted to see the vision.
