Summary
The guy holds a finger up at Yuuta and it’s gently menacing, the way he waves it in Yuuta’s face, the way his eyes say stay still without him having to say anything at all. When he seems certain Yuuta isn’t going to move, he redirects his attention to his phone and types furiously. Yuuta vaguely notices his thin gold rings, the fact that a few of the guy’s nails are painted black, scraped up like he uses his hands a lot and hadn’t bothered to repaint them.
Then the guy shoves his phone in Yuuta’s face.
Yuuta goes a little cross-eyed trying to see it. He puts his hand on the guy’s wrist to steady the phone and pull it away from his face so he can actually see whatever he is being shown. Yuuta realizes, once his fingers connect around the guy's slim wrist, overlapping a little, that touching him like this is pretty forward of Yuuta– but also this dude is shoving a phone in his face, so maybe it’s fine.
The phone is open to the notes app and says:
i’m mute. i literally can’t talk pretty much at all. stop running away from me, asshole. why are you so freaky fast?
“Uh.” Yuuta says.

Summary
“Mustard leaf?” Yuta asks. Maki doesn’t bat an eyelid at first - with his words being in Toge’s voice, it sounds normal to her ears. But then the situation registers in her brain, she realises exactly who said it, and her eyes widen.
“Caviar,” Toge replies simply. In stark contrast, his rice ball language sounds wrong on Yuta’s tongue, entirely out of place.
“Mustard leaf?” Yuta repeats, more insistently this time, staring imploringly at Toge, who crumbles immediately.
“Bonito flakes,” he relents, with a slight roll of his eyes.
Maki’s jaw drops to the floor.Even when he's transferred into Yuta's body and he can speak normally, Toge doesn't want to. Yuta finds that the desire to speak their strange rice ball ingredient language rubs off on him.

Summary

“Apparently they’re scared of you,” Maki said, licking the sauce off her fingers. Yuuta turned his head, rice ball falling out of his hand. “Not that the first year crowd is really scared of anything, but they certainly aren’t lining up to be your friend.”
“Scared?” Yuuta asked, incredulously pointing to himself. “Of me?”
“Why’s it so hard to believe?” Panda asked, pretending to slick his hair back. “You’re the one who came back all ‘I will kill Itadori Yuji myself.’”
“Shake,” Inumaki nodded.
“I was bluffing, clearly,” he said, a blush rising on his neck. “It was part of the plan!”
Maki tsked, rolling her eyes. “I can’t believe you’re a special grade,” she said. “Those idiots didn’t get to see you shaking and mumbling Rika-chan, Rika-chan in first year.”
“Yes!” Panda said snapping. “Before he got his scary dog privileges.”
“S- Scary dog?!” Yuuta spluttered at the slander.
