“Ma’am,” Phainon calls again, dangling his blue pen in front of her face like a pendulum to get her attention. She jolts, eyes refocusing into his. Cute, despite being at least a decade older than he is; tired, because of the weight of that very same decade.
“Sorry,” she finally replies, her fingers touching his hand when she finally takes the pen. “It’s just-” She gives a little embarrassed laugh, but she's still devouring him with sweet honey golden eyes, like she can’t believe he’s here. Phainon doesn't mind. “You really look like my husband.” She laughs again, and signs her name at the bottom of the receipt in ink blue cursive—Mydeimos C. Kremnos.
Phainon makes an effort to remember it for no particular reason.

Amphoreus has become a real planet forged from the memories accumulated over millions of years.
Every citizen is bestowed all the memories that are rightfully their own, so there’s no escaping the actions Phainon took to prolong the cycles until a true hero could arrive with the new dawn.

Mydei’s cheeks warm, heat crawling across his body. It can’t be comfortable for Phainon, trapped under the weight of not only him and his subsequent muscle mass, but of their litter, swelling Mydei’s stomach so much that he can’t embrace Phainon chest-to-chest anymore.
Mydei learns he’s going through more than just physical changes. Phainon is more than pleased with these new developments.

You were screaming before you even realized your mouth opened, but it didn't last long as you were tackled and pushed, the rough texture of the wall digging into your back, a hand forced over your mouth that suspiciously smelled like something iron and something like motor oil.
“Shhh, shhh,” he hushed, caging you with his mass, but it did little to reassure you when you could see the blood speckled across his face and the body still behind him. “Quiet.”
You nearly sobbed. Was it relief you felt? Or was it fear? Dread? Anxiety? Taking your chances with one sick freak to get away from the last one.
