Qifrey made them olives and cheese with cabroccoli wrapped in ham for a late-night snack, but the pleasure was in the making, not in the eating. He sips his own vessel, listening. "But it's really nice out here, isn't it? Peaceful. Good for focussing."
"I think you would be even more of a hermit, if you had the choice," Qifrey says. "Lost in your work for weeks on end."
Olruggio looks sheepish, rubbing the back of his neck with his free hand. "You're probably right. I never thought I'd be that kind of person, either… weird how much things change, isn't it?"
"And how much they stay the same," Qifrey murmurs.

Kageyama Tobio is not good at many things, but he is very good at a few things. First and foremost, he’s very good at volleyball. He knows he has a lot to improve, but he’s not one to use false modesty either. Tobio is, objectively, very good at volleyball. He’s also very good at eating fast. Tsukishima tells him it’s not really a skill, but whatever. Tobio is good at it. And the last thing he considers himself very good at is being in denial. Judging by the last few weeks, he’s well on his way to becoming a pro with the amount of practice he’s been — rather unwillingly — getting. And, like most things in Tobio’s life for the past year, it’s at least tangentially Hinata Shouyou’s fault.

She starts up the stairs to Taichi's room, and for a brief moment, nerves bubble up in her stomach. Her mind wanders—memories of Taichi telling her not to charge into guys' rooms. And then other occasions, where he's invited her up to his room twice as many times as he's scolded her for it.
He's sick, so it's not like I'm going up there to—
It's silly. She's just here to make sure he's okay. Nebulous anxiety shouldn't make her pause in front of his door. She doesn't know why she's scared.
So—in the same way that she handles all of her fears—Chihaya shoves open the door and plows headfirst into Taichi's bedroom.
