Summary
Once they reach the bed, Yeji drops Ryujin’s arm and just stares. Her thoughts are uncharacteristically quiet, but her expression is hungry in a way that makes it perfectly clear what she’d like to do. She’s handsome as ever too, cheeks flushed, strands of hair falling in her eyes, broad shoulders perfectly filling out her gray t-shirt. Her strong features, the golden hue of her skin, and the way her feline eyes glint in the low-light make her feel real in a way that she never really did standing behind the bar.
Yeji finally breaks the tense silence, voice rough and low. “I’ve been thinking about this for too long to rush it.”

Summary
The woman is alone for a rare moment, which is just perfect really. She’s seated at one of the tables with an empty rocks glass in front of her, long legs extended and crossed at the ankle. Ryujin is momentarily jealous of the candlelight for the way it’s able to play in the hollow of her throat. She looks almost wistful as she gazes into the distance, long fingers tapping absently at her gold clutch. Ryujin is overcome by a feeling she can’t quite place as she takes in the sight before her. It starts in her chest and trickles all the way down to her toes, heavy and sweet.

“I’ll get up if you give me a good morning kiss,” Jisu says, sliding her hand across Yeji’s hip to pull her close.
Yeji huffs out a laugh, lips curling up into a fond smile. She braces a hand against the mattress next to Jisu’s head and leans down without a fight. Her lips are soft, sweet, and a bit chapped. Jisu can feel her smile and taste the mint of her toothpaste.
“How did I know this was gonna happen?” Yeji mutters against her lips.
“Maybe you know me kinda well,” Jisu responds, her chest pooling with the warm, gooey feeling that Yeji’s elicited in her for over five years now.

She had an inkling that Yeji would nestle between the roots she's cultivated for herself and climb them like a trellis, intertwining with her so tightly that she'd lose the ability to delineate between them.

How she never forgets to find joy in the simple things in life: fireworks, the sound of wood crackling in a fire, an unexpectedly good meal, the beauty and sounds of nature, the colours when the seasons change, the first snowfall of winter, on and on the list goes.

Summary
The girl gives her another polite smile, that reads much more to Yeji. "What should I call you?"
She has to bite down the urge to reply you can call me yours before her brain does a full three hundred and sixty-degree rotation with ways to reply to her name and sound cool about it.
All she ends up with is sounding like an idiot for taking too long. "You forgot your own name?" Lia is clearly way too amused by this interaction as if Yeji's embarrassment is fueling her to go through the day.(or: Post-breakup Yeji was only looking for a coffee to light up her mood, not to fall for the cute barista Lia.)
