Summary
Prince Stede of Bonnet is en route to be married to the King of Low when his ship is overtaken by pirates. Stede offers himself up to the Dread Pirate Blackbeard in exchange for freeing the rest of his people. He does not expect Blackbeard to propose marriage as a part of their agreement, but if it is a choice between the kind of monster Ned is and the kind of monster Blackbeard is, that is an exceedingly easy choice to make.

Summary
Their vacation is going wonderfully: the weather is perfect, the view is gorgeous, there’s not been any other beach-goers show up all day, and Stede has Ed by his side. Ed, his charming and handsome Ed, who has an incredibly mischievous and risky idea in mind. Stede should try to stop him, but Ed’s pulling his clothes off and running naked across the sand before he can string more than a few words together.
Stede learns something new about himself that day. He’s always loved a bit of adventure, but the risk of someone walking by or sailing up and seeing them? Well, turns out he likes a bit more thrill than even he expected.

“Ed— What are you doing?” Stede demands, bewildered, a new sort of heat flashing through him at the sight of him tugging his pants down. “Wh—”
“You said we could go swimming,” Ed reminds him. “On vacation.”
He kicks them off, leaving him in his stockings and silk underthings from the waist down, moving to tear his shirt apart next. It comes up and off over his head in an intoxicating sweep of leather, only a minor amount of wriggling required for him to work his way out.
Stede’s only able to— stare, for a beat, before Ed kicks at his shin. “Take your clothes off, love, ‘cause I’m throwing you in with or without them.”
Love, he says, and Stede’s fingers clench up into white-knuckled fists before he rushes to do as Ed’s instructed him to do, half-intoxicated with desire, half-terrified Ed will ruin his clothes with the saltwater.

“Stede?” Ed’s voice sounds so calm, entirely conversational, and Stede lets his head roll to the side on his pillow to look at his dark, beautiful eyes. Stede hums and Ed looks impossibly shy for someone who was just inside of him, “Did you mean what you said? Just now?”
Ah, Stede thinks, the love thing
“Of course, darling.” Stede rolls entirely onto his side then, sliding his foot forward so that he can wedge his leg between Ed’s, “I would never lie to you about that.”
Ed shrugs but his cheeks are flushed and he looks entirely pleased now, “Men say things they don’t mean all the time when they’re fucking.”
“Well I’m not most men.”
“That’s right,” Ed drags his hand over Stede’s back, “You’re a gentleman.”

Summary
Stede hasn’t worn a nightshirt since the day he died. He didn’t take any with him, for one, and delicate cotton and lace didn’t exactly lend themselves to the vista suite at Spanish Jackie’s. He’d found two squirreled away on the Revenge when he returned, stuffed into the bottom of the auxiliary wardrobe with faint smudges of kohl along the hems. Even then he mostly slept in a pair of loose breeches or nothing at all - a prospect that would have shocked him weeks ago. He doesn’t miss it, necessarily, but he finds himself grabbing one of the shirts as he and Ed settle for the night at the inn. It’s the thought of the fabric sliding up as he sleeps, of Ed sidled up behind him, of cool air and Ed’s hand pressing against the back of his thigh, of Ed’s lips brushing his neck.
Fam it's just straight up nightie porn what can I say.

Ed, who is staring at Stede like he doesn’t want to go very slow at all, like he wants to devour him whole, like he might feel a fraction of what Stede feels towards him.
Ed, who gets pushed forward a step by Roach behind him, nudging him in Stede’s direction until he actually starts walking to meet him.
“Hey,” Ed says, and Stede struggles to believe it’s the way he looks that’s making Ed sound choked like that, that— that him wearing his dress, his makeup, his jewelry, his heels, his skin the way he is is making Ed want him like this. “You look… Shit.”
“Good?” Stede asks. He can’t quite keep back the edge of anxiety leaking into his voice, making his hands still sweat.
“Great,” Ed insists, breathlessly fast.
