Summary
There's not many good things that have come from Stiles' very, very late unexpected presentation as an omega. The few he does have like the alpha/omega online support group and most importantly the awakening of the spark he never knew he possessed are what's kept him sane as he's faced depression and isolation. It's these good things that are going to help him find out what the hell his estranged best friend with the recent wolfy upgrade wants from him and Cold Moon is where it all starts.

Stiles loses his temper with the rest of the pack when they all make excuses not to volunteer to help their Alpha. Deaton has instructed that for the next 24 hours Derek can't use his hands after he seriously injures them in a magical entrapment. Seeing the emotional hurt that Derek's selfish pack has inflicted on him when they argue and try to get out of it, Stiles volunteers to stay and then proceeds to give the rest of them a verbal ass-kicking. He then takes care of his friend, the Alpha, Derek Hale, while trying to work out what his feelings are towards the werewolf.

Christmas Eve and Derek's at the Stilinski house after receiving a text from Stiles to meet him there urgently. He finds the teenager asleep under the Christmas tree and on waking him up he discovers that Stiles has found a huge missing part of Derek's past and a loving reminder of the Hale Family. The resulting emotional upheaval leads to revelations between the Alpha and his teenage pack member which leads to kissing and touching..
Christmas morning the Sheriff finishes his shift but what he finds beneath the Christmas tree is the last thing he ever expected.

While playing a drinking game at a pack party Stiles confesses that he would totally suck Derek Hale's brains out through his dick only to discover that the Alpha's heard him. With Derek making a huge effort to totally ignore him, Stiles is very surprised when one night a week later his Alpha enters his bedroom asking "Did you mean it?".
