He already knows the root of the problem itself: people from the outside, definitely not hybrids themselves, either on their staff (Minho should find a way to get them fired) or on the internet (Minho unfortunately cannot do anything about them without getting fired) who are making unwarranted comments and enforcing their stupid incorrect opinions that no one fucking asked for.
But that didn't matter. Because Minho was going to fix it and then his kittens would be free to follow whatever instincts they liked without worry about what others would say. Because fuck anyone else, the only thing that mattered was the happiness of his boyfriends and Minho was now determined to see them comfortable in their own skins again.
Or, Minho notices how his kitty boyfriends are repressing their hybrid instincts so he does something about it.

Felix feels calmer as a nurse comes to inject Minho’s (standard, because he isn't a loser like Felix) suppressant. The doctor returns, giving them clear instructions to keep the second dosage refrigerated and hidden, before injecting Felix with his first dose.

A massive illuminated ad fills the side of a building across the street. Felix.
He has perfect skin, a soft gaze, and his lips are parted slightly, makeup artfully smudged like something intimate caught mid-moment. His name gleams at the bottom beside a sleek logo, larger than life and untouchable.
Seungmin stands there longer than he means to.
He thinks of that image, and then of Felix, crouched on the classroom floor, blond hair falling into his eyes as he listened to Jeongin talk about paint and dolls.
He wonders which version is real. Or, if somehow, impossibly, both are.

Felix doesn’t just celebrate Easter—he owns it. Ever since declaring it Bbokari’s “birthday,” he’s dragged the others through flour storms, glitter explosions, and annual parties.

Lino was getting frustrated. Watching the orange kitten get comfortable with the human made him nervous. It was rare that a human was actually good. Most of them were mean and took brothers away. He didn’t trust this.
“You seem too friendly to be a stray. Do you have a home?” A meow. Lino slowly laid down, all his paws still firmly on the ground in case he needed to run. The person looked up at the movement, eyes finding Lino quickly. “Awe, a friend of yours?” the human turned back to Yongbok like he could reply before looking back at Lino. “And you’re missing part of your ear. Did you get in a fight?” When Lino didn’t react to the human, he simply went back to paying attention to Yongbok.

Their nostrils exhale harshly, droplets of water spraying out as they narrow their eyes again. “Only when I say so,” the mer growls, hauling themselves further out of the water with the sheer strength of their arms. “Come closer, human.”
The man’s eyes widened curiously, taking a step towards the tank before the mer lowered their upper torso over the side until Chan could see nothing but their icy blue eyes and shark-like teeth inches from his face. They mumble, “When I touch you, don’t pull away.”

Summary
Subtleness was something that Minho and Hyunjin were naturally good at, but they always had their tells. Hyunjin would appear more touchy, sometimes his breath close to Felix's clavicle or nape, or sometimes letting his face rest very close to his inner thighs when the members crashed in the same dorm for some bonding or movie night. It was also the way Hyunjin would suddenly refer to him with saccharine dripping in his tone (not that he didn't usually, but the way he spoke had Felix stuck in it like a fly in molasses.)
Minho's tells were more hidden, but Felix had come to realize that the elder at times became particularly possessive of him. Sometimes when he noticed that Felix was cuddling with Changbin or Jisung while passing by the studio, he'd simply barge inside, flop down on the couch and pull Felix to lay his head on his lap. Or it was the way he squeezed Felix's waist whenever they passed, or the way he blinked slowly like a cat narrowing on its prey.

Summary
Felix turns to Jeongin and grabs his wrist to massage it before he stops himself. Jeongin frowns and waits for Felix to start moving again or explain why he froze, but he doesn’t do anything.
“What’s wrong hyung?” Jeongin asks softly.
“I–I— Sorry. I just… I used to massage Nahyun hyung’s wrists when we were playing games too,” Felix whispers dejectedly, and Jeongin’s face falls. Oh. “I’m sorry, it’s a silly thing to be upset over—”
“It’s not,” Jeongin cuts in, grabbing Felix’s hand. “I get it. You were together for six years, you can’t just forget those six years and everything you’ve done together.”
“I know and that’s why I hate it!” Felix exclaims, startling Jeongin. “Everything still reminds me of him! I— We did so much together, and he just— threw it away? I gave him all my firsts, all those milestones— my first kiss– my first proper relationship, my first time, my first time moving in with someone— I gave all of them to him and he– just— ugh!”
OR: Felix has a bad breakup with someone he gave all his firsts to. Jeongin helps him start over and have his firsts again, this time with him.

No one wants to spend their summer in community service. Unfortunately for Hyunjin, Jeongin, Jisung, Seungmin and Felix, they have no choice: the five of them are all stuck on this Community Payback scheme whether they like it or not.
(Spoiler alert: they don't.)
Community service is bad enough to deal with on its own, but to get caught in a freak electrical storm and develop shitty superpowers on top of that? This has got to be someone's idea of a joke.
Oh, and their probation worker wants to kill them. Go figure.
