At the end of everything, there was a puppet master with no audience. They would perform endlessly to themselves, making up adventures and stories no one would ever hear. For there was no one around who could.
At the end of everything, there was a puppet with no master. Listlessly wandering the wasteland that used to be the universe, reminiscing of times long past and times long forgotten. For there was no one around to remember.
It would seem like fate, then, that the two would meet each other.

Really like the themes of control and subjugation using the Hyde thing that likes to pop up every season in canon to tie everything full circle, its an inspired direction to take a plot line centered around Enid losing that control. Sometimes it’s hard to mesh original stuff with an existing plot line, but here it’s done almost seamlessly
This fic is complete and effective with its execution, consistently high quality the whole way through
