Summary
This fic came to my mind because I just imagined Goose and Carole are busy with something last minute and need Pete to watch Bradley for the day and so he touts him around base and acts all sweet and parental and doesn't notice at all that the entire base is making bedroom eyes at him. Like that scene from Suicide Squad with Harley Quinn when she doesn't understand why everyones stopped and staring... Like Mav honey its because you're a Catch and seeing you with a little kid or laughing out at bar has short circuited their brains. He doesn't notice them though because he only has heart eyes for Iceman though :) Now its evolved to a somewhat linear slice of life fic of Mav realizing he's in love
Also it is A/B/O but in the way that Omegas aren't inferior, but treated more like trophies. Mav wants to be (Iceman's) trophy husband but will absolutely refuse to give up flying. Good thing Ice is willing to do anything to make sure Pete can stay in the air all he wants.

The Navy has an urban legend: the time rift. Like UFOs and the Bermuda Triangle, they have their proponents, but most people don't believe in them. Maverick doesn't believe in them, until he encounters one.
The stories go like this: fly or sail through a rift, and you might be thrown back in time to an earlier point in your life, to correct something that went wrong.

Summary
An AU where Cougar does not turn in his wings after the MiG encounter, but instead goes to Top Gun and then ends up dropping out a couple weeks in.
Maverick first meets Iceman on the deck of the USS Enterprise, when he lands to take part in the rescue of the USS Layton, and chemistry immediately sparks between them. As a reward for their performance, Maverick and Goose are sent to Top Gun, where Iceman follows to take up a post as an instructor.

He likes these mornings best. The ones where they’re both home, in San Diego, at the same time, and not because Tom is sick or Pete is hurt. The ones where he wakes first, but not because he has anywhere in particular to be. Where he can watch, through hooded eyes, as Pete drools a little on his own pillow, lips parted, dark hair inelegantly falling over his forehead. Tom will drift in and out of sleep, each time he wakes looking at the same sight but from a new angle, under different light. Sometimes, Pete will have turned, and instead of looking at his face he’ll be looking at the back of his neck, or the side of his jaw. Sometimes he’ll have shifted closer, and the smell of his shampoo will tickle Tom’s nose, or he’ll have moved away, and Tom will remedy it by claiming the warm space he left behind.
These mornings don’t happen often, and at the expense of sounding soft, every single one is a gift.
Or, RIP Tom Kazansky you would have loved Garmin sleep score.

Slider slaps his chest with the back of his hand and gives him a stick of gum. Tom takes it and puts it in his mouth, even as he raises an eyebrow in confusion. Slider leans over to speak softly, not wanting to interrupt the presentation.
"Figured you needed somethin' in your mouth," He grins when the very tips of Ice's ears turn pink, "otherwise you'd still be gawping at Mitchell and you'd start to catch flies."

Summary
Everyone was born with a little magic - it was a simple fact of life. Some people had a stronger connection to their magic, some people had more powerful expressions of their magic, some people just simply had more useful kinds of magic. Some people had mundane magic, things like the ability to charge small devices without a power source, or the ability to stay dry in a rainstorm, or the ability to keep a pocket of cool air around them no matter the season.
Others had more potential, more power: the ability to throw lightning, to freeze the water in the air around them, to move objects with their mind.
Pete was a mechanomancer - he couldn't do anything flashy, but he could 'talk' to machines, particularly engines. It made him a fantastic mechanic, and one hell of a fighter pilot.
Not that it had mattered all that much in the end.
They'd thrown him out just as fast as anyone else when someone caught him kissing a man and blackmailed him about it.
