Summary
Project Loch Ness is the original Gen 1. The RDA had seven bodies to practice the Soul Drive transfers on and all but one basically failed. The rejected Recombinants were cast off from Bridgehead to make way for Project Phoenix where they made their escape from the RDA and began their new lives in bodies that were more familiar than their old ones.
Lt. Colonel Hunter "Huntsman" Jacobi is the second-in-command of Project Loch Ness, standing ever so faithfully beside their Colonel. They don't remember much from their human life and they don't really want too. They are perfectly content to live alongside their found family and make a home for themselves on Pandora when it's all flipped upside down because of a washed up Recombinant.

Summary
From the moment she met her, Rilla has followed Aloy and taken care of her best she could. She followed Aloy throughout the disaster that HADES and the Eclipse tried to set upon the world and followed her again when the Nora Seeker left after the final battle. Aloy is determined to have the whole world on her shoulders and Rilla is there to remind her that friends share each other's burdens.
Now she's joined Aloy in the Forbidden West where a new part of the world is at her fingertips. They gain more allies along the way (and some more than friends), and Rilla is ready to face this new otherworldly danger that once again threatens their home.

“Of course I would,” he flopped back down on the sand, leaning his weight on his hands that were now anchored in the sand behind him. “You know what, there's a movie where something like that happens. Guy goes to an alien planet and gets a new alien body. Pretty good, if I’m remembering it right. Only ever saw it once.”
He never should've shown him that movie.

Grace has been on Erid for quite some time now, living life to the best of his ability from within the confines of the biodome Rocky and his team erected for him. Its been perfect, aside from the fact that Grace was on borrowed time and his body was beginning to protest every movement he made. So, with Grace's health beginning to degrade beyond repair and after he made the mistake of showing Rocky the movie, Avatar, Rocky starts a secret project that has the potential to change everything.

“If Rocky had no extra fuel, Grace sabotage mission, question?”
“No! Rocky, I’m not going to sabotage anything! I wouldn’t do that to you.”

There are many bad things about Rocky—as there are about any person I’ve ever met. And that isn’t even talking about myself. But the problem isn’t that he’s bossy, or swears like a sailor even though I can’t directly translate, or takes up more than half the space on my own gosh darn ship…
…No. The problem is that despite all his flaws, he’s too good.
Rocky is endlessly, painfully good.

Let it not be said that Adrian was not devoted as well. They had stood firm, a loyal widower longer than others could fathom. Once you encountered a love like Rocky’s, there could be no replacement. Nothing could even compare.
‘Do you understand that?’ Adrian wanted to ask. So desperately, they wanted the alien’s reply. ‘Are you the only other creature in the universe who understands what it is like to be loved by someone so completely?’

Adrian meets Grace several times, before Grace is healthy enough to meet them in return. Despite light-years of distance between their species, Adrian might have finally met the first other being who appreciates Rocky like they do; or so they hope.
