As much as Nate wanted to convince himself that he could leave everything that had happened to him in the past five years behind, make a clean cut and get on with his life, he couldn’t quite make himself believe it. The signs of his old life bleeding into his new one were too obvious - his former team leader pretending to be asleep in the passenger seat next to him only the most glaring one.
