Summary
In a middle school home game of basketball, Coach Steve is sitting on the sidelines with Eddie beside him. Though he prides himself on always cutting against the grain, Eddie is absolutely the sport-repulsed homosexual stereotype, but Wayne has left a mark nonetheless. He's aware of a couple chants at the very least. Thanks to Ferris Bueller's Day Off popularising one particular chant, Eddie has one solidly in the bag.
And he will remain blissfully ignorant of how to use it appropriately.

The real problem with being a chronic insomniac and perpetual night owl is that he’s the only one awake to hear the creepy fucking dragging sound in the middle of the night.

“Why are you wearing cologne?” Dustin asks after barely one second in the van.
“I’m not,” Eddie says, and promptly wants to die at how unconvincing that was. It’s not even technically a lie…

Summary
Steve moves to Forest Hills because he promised Dustin, and soon thereafter promised himself, that he'd keep both an eye and in touch with Wayne Munson.
It may have been awkward at first, but he comes around to thinking of Wayne as a sort of stand-in dad. One he never really had. And through time, lots of long late night conversations, a few mishaps with the plumbing in his trailer, and some casseroles homemade, Steve comes to think very deeply about one late Eddie Munson.

Summary
Ilya kisses him, soft, chaste. He pulls back just a little, his smile all teeth. “I was thinking about how much I want to knock you out.”
Shane leans back, eyebrows pulling together as he laughs, a soft breath. “What?”
“Knock you out,” Ilya repeats, bumping their noses together while he grinds down, filthy. “Put a baby in you.”
