Summary
For all Tolkien's changes to his family trees, one thing remains the same - Fëanor is the only son of Finwë without a daughter.
What if that changed?
Meet Lórefindë Nartissë - she's a linguist, the baby of a very big family, possessed of an unfortunate temper, and has a tendency to start fights (then gleefully watch her brothers finish them).
She's also recently been married to Oropher, great-nephew of Thingol through his father Galadhon. Or, rather, eloped with him.
Without the consent of either of their families, but that's irrelevant, and also kind of how elopement works anyway. By this point they're all grudgingly getting along because there's no way to undo a marriage between two elves who want to stay married.
The point is, Oropher now has to keep straight all of his wife's family. He never had any problems like this before - his own family consists of less than a dozen people, while the Finwëans are notoriously...numerous.

Summary
The cold wind bit at the wolf’s badly healed wounds and made it shiver weakly. It was so desperate to lay down and rest, but the wolf was scared, so very scared of being caught unawares. If it were any other wolf this would not be so; this one was, though, barely a wolf at all. In its eyes shone a light that could not be found on this side of the sea; it was an ancient, gentle light, though it had the capability of being terrible. In the eyes of the wolf it was sad, like all of him, for this beast was not so long ago an elf.
His name was Finrod Felegund.

After escaping Tol-in-Gaurhoth, Finrod searches for help and a friendly face. Unable to communicate and in a foreign body, his trials are not yet done. He has his family though.
