Sukuna has always been abrasive, ever since he and Yuji were kids. A little too angry, a little too harsh, a little too quick to laugh at the pain of others.
Somehow, that had never really sunk in for Yuji. Not even when Sukuna left the month he turned eighteen, and never came back.
It is barely sinking in now: his brother’s face tattooed to hell, blood dripping from his nose, his boot resting on one of many unconscious fighters around him.
“Ah,” Sukuna says, smooth and deep and bored to death. “Yuji.”
