Summary
Sacrifice the vessel. Sacrifice the body, the mind, the spirit. Sacrifice, just like the ghost of Miyeong – whom was the Giver of Life, whom was the Recipient of Death.
Two deers turn into reunited beings, is the thing. There is no reaction more merited than thankfulness, Rumi. You asked for this, utterly fed up with feeding among the same lilies of innocence and grace that had mocked you with its decay, its bleak vacancy.
Or: Rumi seeks reunion with her eomma beyond the veil, weary of a world that only offers idle mercy, light, and guidance. For that reason, sacrifice is her path. Death is her answer.

Summary
"Sweetheart, it'll be fine. You'll be fine!"
Elizabeth provides no response except for a pout, and so Nerissa leans forward after quieting a chuckle with her coat sleeve. A few strands of her hair slip from a loose ribbon, tumbling over her shoulder as she presses her lips against Elizabeth's nose, and hovers there for a breath before pulling away with a sunlit grin.
All the while, Shiori's heart flutters, full and unguarded. They're both so ethereally beautiful. The universe sings, and they are its song.
An ode to what was, an ode to what is, and an ode to what will be: A bouquet of flowers . . . jewelry with pendants of the sun, the earth, and the moon, each gleaming individually . . . distinctive footfalls . . . the faint undertone of humming . . . and the two culprits of said humming, both kneeling before the fireplace with long-handled matches in hand.
Eyes saying 'fire in my heart, fire in my brittle bones; fire to persist but not to ever ravage; fire as a synonym for love and loyalty' . . . and the sound of Nerissa chuckling before speaking, "Welcome home, Moony."

Summary
Breathing in-between Cait’s ribs:
If Vi opened fully, each petal of her being unfurling, she’d be embraced by the fullness within joy; the reality where she’s pleading without words, her fingertips trailing across the sharper points of my rosary necklace, dazed and slack-jawed by a languid fatigue.
The instant where I concede, sighing into her open mouth and rendering her speechless. Where, after she waits for a few agonizing seconds to go by, I kiss her temple three times.
The stupor where I press my bow-shaped lips to her forehead, her breastbone; her left shoulder, her right shoulder. The Heaven where I muse, 'In the name of the Father, of the Son, and of the Spirit. Amen.'
Or: Vi is given the option to either lose herself in fear, or stay in love’s orbit—not just for Cait, but for herself and everyone who has attempted to melt the frost, day after day.
She must choose wisely, as the fact of the matter is simple: overwriting the past and burying faults can erase more than pain. It could erase the loving hands that reach for her, over and over again.

Summary
Dorran inquired if Ellis would hold her hand in this vivid mirage of hers, and upon receiving an affirming nod, dared to add, 'Kiss them, too?'
'Kiss them, forever.'
'When they’re aching?' Dorran tacked on to her previous inquiry. Aching, and in need of one’s tenderness?
'Of course,' Ellis assured, all smiles now that they’d found a silver lining amid the most tumultuous topic to Dorran and her poor heart. 'And again when the adrenaline's gone and they're only sore with a faint burn – like the one I get in my calves, except worse, I’d imagine. I know your muscles tend to ache for days and days, and then some . . .'
Or: A collection of slice-of-life moments mostly featuring Elizabeth, Nerissa, their adopted daughter (and subsequent Light) Dorran, and Ellis – her friend since middle school.

Summary
Not all love is lost in translation. A handful of people fall short, though unintentionally, when it comes to understanding their loved ones in a manner specific to them, kalon-deep and nearly unattainable.
But for Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, love is audible in the regularity of everyday actions, in the sound of the tea kettle singing at the crack of dawn; it is acts and confessions of service, of, reverence, of kindness, of acknowledgment, and is a promise that spans beyond their limited time on earth.
Or: Zoey’s love, to many, is rarely loud or demonstrative, often tucked away into the tremor of hesitation or the fear of not being enough, but in the consistency of her presence and the tiny gestures that accentuates their lives, it is as profound and enduring as the sunrise itself.

Summary
You’ve read far too much about love to allow yourself to make such a careless mistake. You know all about how it sneaks up on you. How one day it’s hardly much of anything, how the next it becomes bright and loud and too much. You know that better than anyone. You’ve read thousands of iterations of it, thousands of admissions, thousands of hastily scrawled out pleas to understand that you must understand, I could have never seen this coming.
You consider love, hate, indifference. You turn over words in your mind until they sound wrong and removed. You do this with love until you can stand to hear it echoed in your own thoughts.
(When you realise you love her, you’ll plead to yourself in the mirror. You must understand, you’ll beg, I could have never seen this coming.)
(or, a story about love, hate, truths, and what it means to be and love a monster)

Summary
Zoey thinks, lying back against the paper covering of the cold examination table, while trying to ignore the sensation of inorganic equipment being lodged in places they had no god-given right to be, that this is, inarguably, the least sexy way to get knocked up.
Zoey isn’t really sure how she ended up here, in all honesty.
Well, she is. She can recount the steps chronologically. How Mira and Rumi had looked so god-damned defeated. How her big, stupid mouth had opened and volunteered, initially, and then had said yes to all of their concerned interrogations as to whether or not she was sure, like, really sure, one hundred per cent sure?
And now she’s said yes so many times and so adamantly that it isn’t as though she can suddenly back track and say, surprise! I am actually no longer willing to carry the baby you have been so desperately trying for because I think it would be a really super-duper bad idea! Sorry for getting your hopes up!
Zoey agrees to be a surrogate for a married Rumira. Things get messy because she's already in love with them, has known this for years, but she might be falling in love with the baby, too

Summary
Mira has worked at Sunlight Scoops for upwards of two months now, and if someone put a gun to her head and told her to name three things about Rumi, she could maybe give them two:
1. Rumi worked at Sunlight Scoops
2. Rumi was absolute shit at small talk(Zoey and Mira get jobs at an ice cream parlor and cannot figure out why their manager can't talk to them.)

Summary
“I’m sorry,” Zoey cut in meekly. “I’m just trying to understand—”
Rumi whirled to face her, and she flinched back. “I’ve explained this to you before. We have insects that are pests and we have insects that are beneficial. If we let the pests live, they do damage, so we kill them. It doesn’t matter if it’s alive—all of them are alive, but some of them need to die.”
A study of Rumi and bugs.
