When Jack turns to look at her, Samira realizes she doesn’t want to leave. It hits her all at once, and once it’s there, there’s no getting away from it.
“You hungry?”
Samira’s not, not even a little bit. She hasn’t eaten in… she doesn’t know how long at this point, but she can’t even begin to think of food right now.
Still, she nods her head. “I could eat,” she says, because she doesn’t want to leave.
OR: post-pittfest, and everything that entails. mostly learning how to cope, a lot of feelings, and even more kissing (eventually).

Summary
He presses open-mouthed kisses to her collarbones, tugs her shirt aside, down, away to kiss more of her, and when he deems it enough or when he finally loses the fight to drawing anything out in the name of anticipation, he lays the flat of his tongue onto her skin and licks up the length of her throat all the way to her ear.
The skin turns cold immediately, and goosebumps race down Samira's arms as Jack's saliva cools, only to be warmed right back up by the next lick, again and again, until he's happy with how many shivers he's chased down Samira's back.
Biting or sucking is no part of it. If she feels Jack's teeth on her neck, it's a quick slide against the skin, a stumble without intention.

Summary
They’ve been calling each other the stupid nicknames since their time in the VA when an older Vet with a gnarly leg lac from a fishing hook thought Samira and he were together.
Jack was hunched over, suturing, and she wandered in to watch him. She criticized a stitch he made, pointing out he placed it a little too close, leaning in over his shoulder. She stayed there watching him fix it.
“I envy you two,” Mr Kennedy said as Samira was about to pull the curtain back to leave, a smug smile on her face after she had bumped Jack’s shoulder with her own for doing a good job. Mr. Kennedy was smiling at them, a little twinkle from the fluorescents in his eyes. “Young love is such a precious thing.”
