Summary
“– as always, this is Ami Dillon, your resident media studies graduate student and totally under-qualified radio host, and your source for the latest updates on the state of Central City during the present Zombie Crisis, courtesy of the Mayor’s office. In addition to life-saving tips and general safety alerts, we also bring you the excellent morale-boosting soundtrack of the greatest hits of the Apocalypse, by which we mean whatever tracks the local radio stations had sitting around and the cover songs played by our dearly beloved cover band, the Post-Apocs. As always, we begin with our theme song: Stayin’ Alive, by the Bee Gees!”

Staying Alive by nirejseki. Len and Mick take over the zombie apocalypse, told in disjointed pieces of the past (the initial stages of the zombie apocalypse) and the future (after the world more or less adjusted and it passed); a.k.a Captain Cold’s debut in politics as Mayor Snart of Central city. Len Snart always had a plan for surviving the zombie apocalypse, involving the nearest university, he is incredibly irritated that his partner was stuck on the other part of the country during the start of the zombie crisis, and that he is now the goddamn mayor. Mick Rory knows what to do during a crisis, get back to Mick’s side, the acquisition of tag alongs (an army of devotees) ain’t going to stop him. Very well thought out zombie apocalypse plans and impressively fascinating format.

Mob Princess by nirejseki. Coldwave, Mick’s entire immediate family burned in a fire when he was very young, his parents backstory of being star crossed lovers on the run from the Irish mob had not come up in conversation prior to the fact. The Irish mob, which are comprised of his extended family, were not particularly pleased that they weren’t kept in the loop. A lot of crack and family fluff, a fascinating concept.

Social Time by Tierfal. Ho Elric has made a lot of mistakes in his long life, and spending time with his two children in the final stage of his life would never atone for it, but he gets to see them fall in love while talking to madam Chris at the bar. Perhaps they never needed him, but want is very different from need. Ships are background: Roy/Ed, Al/Fury(?), Past Trisha/Ho. Told from the perspective of Ho Elric, very family relationship focused.

Overtime by Tierfal. Ed and Roy are two workaholics; revolutionising academia and attempting to become the figurehead of a country are both difficult and time consuming - naturally, a jar must be involved in order to resolve those issues. Established and committed Roy/Ed, funny as fuck and with truly excellent quotes and writing. Ed does not keep alchemy post-canon. Riza, my beloved.

Summary
Fidelity to a cause is easy as long as you believe most of what they're doing is right. Fidelity to yourself is a lot harder, because it's easy just to see your life as a series of failures rather than a series of successful recoveries from failures. Learning something from each of them.
Clint Barton has had very few precious things to feel that strongly about, but everyone has to grow sometimes. Like most of his life though, it's not exactly a straight line or an easy recovery.

Bookmarker's Notes
Fidelity by amriel. Promotion to Level 7 is difficult, but Clint and Phil had spent a lot of time together and separating would be harder. A love story between international spies stretched out across continental distances and buried behind classified documents, told through calendar invites and 15 minute gaps between meetings. Phil/Clint, SHIELD AU, the characterisation is flawless. With the right person, fidelity is easy. Nick Fury would never allow those idiots to elope, not on his watch, they’ll get several wedding celebrations, spread out across months.
