Any languages you aren’t perfectly fluent in?” Will didn’t even notice that last sentence slip out, and could react to his own words by blushing once more, “Um, I mean—I. That just slipped out, you don’t have to answer!” He tried backtracking, but had to look up from where he was fiddling with the roses, when he suddenly heard laughter.
“I’m not offended. Charmed, rather. I deal with enough personalities at my work, that such candor is refreshing.”

The list of issues plaguing him was this. Number one: his greatest creation, Starkiller had been destroyed by the Resistance. Number two: most of his fleet was destroyed by the Resistance. Number three: the Supreme Leader was killed by the girl scavenger with Force powers who was allied with the Resistance.
You see a pattern?
But what was the worst issue on his mind – and Hux had lived through enough bad things – the worst was the horror of his own co-commander, now self promoted as Supreme Leader.
He should have taken the shot when he had the chance.

Summary
Life is normal for Tony—Gibbs is a bastard, Bishop is annoyingly enthusiastic, Senior is playing the part of a good father, and Tim is Tim. Their newest case even seems normal—a marine shot in the head three times. Only it turns out the victim is a shaman, and the case gets tangled in the Talent community. Tony has avoided magic since he turned twelve and his shaman father kicked him out of the house, not that Senior wants anyone to know he’s a shaman. No, that would damage his reputation. As the case gets more complicated, Tony’s masks and his history start to unravel.
Gibbs has always cared about Tony, but his patience is at an end. No matter what Gibbs says or does, Tony will not pull his head out of his ass and take care of himself. Gibbs feels helpless—like he’s on the front lines with a fellow Marine self-destructing in slow motion, and there’s nothing he can do. The fact that it’s Tony falling apart just makes it all worse. All he can do is push on and hope that Tony is strong enough to survive. Gibbs can’t do anything else because there’s no way to protect Tony, at least that’s what he assumes until a new shaman pushes into his case and changes everything—including how Gibbs sees Tony.

Gibbs has left for Mexico, and Tony’s gut is telling him he’s in trouble. Abby is too distracted by her grief for Gibbs to back Tony up, so he decides to go to the most Abbish person he knows for help: Penelope Garcia. Abby introduced them after the two women met at a forensics seminar for federal agents. So Tony asks Garcia if she will do a little digging, but bringing Garcia in means bringing in other members of the BAU. After all, if Garcia thinks a friend is in trouble, she’ll always turn to her Derek, trusting him to do the right thing. Tony just isn't sure that having Derek Morgan on his side is going to help when he has a director making unreasonable requests, a team doing the minimum required for their job and an overwrought Abby to deal with.
