"Repeat that for me," Derek finally said. His eyes bore into the wall across the way - the one that held their favorite photo. It was a disastrous shot, taken only seconds into the cliched cake cutting scene from their wedding. Stiles had an almost deranged grin on his face that screamed of joy, pride, and white frosting. Derek was looking down at his frosting smeared shirt, his hand a blur where it was moving to try and do damage control but would soon launch into Stiles' own hand and send another bite of cake and frosting across them both. They put that photo on the wall as it seemed to perfectly capture the chaos that enveloped their lives together. It was frustrating at times, but it was fun - always unexpected. Something they thrived on equally.
"I said," Stiles patiently responded, ending his momentary reflection on their disastrous wedding photo, "we need to get a divorce."
"Alright," Derek said, nodding, "I thought that's what you said. Now tell me why you said it."

Stiles’ eyes wander once again, taking in the sight he had avoided for so many months. He can feel a phantom pain thrumming in his arm as he silently remembers the last time he had climbed a ladder so high.
Derek halts in the net, as if suddenly remembering something. He turns to look at Stiles, face determined as he confidently says, “I’ll catch you.”
Stiles’ lips quirk at Derek’s obvious concern. His boyfriend can be sweet sometimes, he supposes. “You can’t promise that. You know that.”
Derek shakes his head, as if he knows without a doubt, that that isn’t possible. “I will catch you.”
(AKA 'The Trapeze AU that's been sitting in my folder for a few months now').

“Derek,” Stiles whispers, licking his lips and trying again when Derek doesn’t react. A little louder this time, he mumbles, “Derek.”
Derek’s head whips up from where he sits on his horse in the corner, waiting for the green knight to complete the new obstacle course. Derek’s eyes squint as he searches the red stands, stopping once they find him.
“Hey, Big Guy, I’m in a bit of trouble,” Stiles says softly, eyeing the roaming hunters warily, “three men just snuck in. They chased me the entire way here and…uh, they’re dragon hunters.”
(Or, Stiles just wants to see his boyfriend perform in the Medieval Times show and not die before he’s reached old age, but hunters have another idea).
