Summary
In a world where omegas have few rights and unmated alphas in professional hockey are required by league regulations to be paired with a state cleared omega by age 26, Ilya Rozanov, a Russian alpha with a fiery temper and a disciplinary record, is handed a stack of twelve files and told to pick his omega. To everyone's surprise, he picks the one nobody else would touch: Shane Hollander, twenty-three, a former Montreal Metros defenseman who lied his way through two years of pro hockey on suppressants and forged paperwork before he was outed during an uncontrolled heat. Three years in a state center have left him hollowed out, terrified, and rated a 5 on a temperament scale. Shane has spent those three years bracing for the worst.

Summary
Ilya Rozanov built his tech empire from nothing, but the CEO who always wins is suddenly losing the one fight that matters—custody of his six-year-old niece, Alexandra. A strict judge, hostile old-money grandparents, and a brutal legal brief all paint him as too busy to be the parent she needs.
Shane Hollander, the NHL’s first openly omega captain, has spent his entire career proving he belongs. At thirty-two, with contract negotiations looming and a franchise in quiet turmoil, he’s one bad headline away from having his legacy written for him.
They come from two different worlds—until a chance meeting on a Cape Cod beach leads to a marriage of convenience. Shane offers the stable two-parent home the court wants. Ilya will use his connections to the incoming Voyageurs ownership group, and his considerable influence to make sure Shane walks into contract negotiations as something other than a question mark.
Everyone gets what they need. Shane gets to keep his contract. Ilya gets to keep his niece. And absolutely no one will fall in love.
Really.

Summary
Previously titled: what love could feel like (if we let it)
The MLH would never admit it outright, but the message was clear. There had never been a professional omega hockey player, and Shane Hollander wouldn’t be the first.
or
After being booted from the professional hockey world, Shane spent the last seven years hating himself, re-building, and trying to find a way forward.
Meanwhile, Ilya spent the first seven years of his hockey career constructing an impenetrable wall around himself built of detachment, control, and the philosophy of never needing anyone.
When the two are paired together by a system neither of them chose, they’ll have to confront the possibility that love might demand more than either of them are prepared to give.
But some promises were never meant to be forgotten: “See you at the draft.”

Summary
Shane scoffs, throwing his hands up. “I just want to figure this out. We have to live together, we should be—“
“We should be what?” Ilya laughs. “Braiding each other’s hair like girls, yes?”
“No. I— I just don’t think we need to be so hostile.
“You think I’m hostile,” Ilya says.
“I said we,” Shane answers. As frustrating as Ilya is, Shane will also own up for his behavior that sometimes occurs when Ilya pushes him to his limit. All he wants is the privilege of an education. The experience of college. He won't let his roommate ruin that.
“I don’t like you,” Ilya says plainly. “You are irritating, and you are boring. In two years, we will be done with hockey and college, and neither of us will have existed to each other. Let it be that.”(Or: Ilya Rozanov is a rich kid who has been kicked out of another university. His new university, while not bad, tries to give him a new roommate. Shane Hollander is a sweetheart who hasn't had an easy life after the loss of both of his parents. After doing some ugly things to make ends meet, all he wants is a normal, happy college experience and an education that would make his mom proud, while trying to balance the hideous things still chasing him.)
