“Run,” Logan said. He took a step forward. Wade glanced behind him at the room he had just left, which he noticed did not have any exits. He slid his gun out of its holster.
“Get the fuck awa—” Logan paused to swallow, his words turning gravelly, like it was difficult for him to speak “—away from me.” He flexed his fingers. “Or I am going to fucking kill you.”
Or: After Logan rejoins the X-Men, Wade gets whisked away on his first solo mission with Logan. It should be quick—easy—like taking candy from an armless baby. And it is, up until it isn’t.

Logan came to with his claws buried in Wade’s abdomen.
He blinked rapidly, panting, struggling to focus his vision on the pattern print of Wade’s shirt. Blood began to seep out of the wound around his knuckles when he moved, and he stared at it in confusion, the dream still clinging to his subconscious.
“Morning, peanut,” Wade said. “Could you maybe pull your claws out of my side? I kinda have to pee, and you are very close to stabbing my bladder. If we get any more blood or piss on the mattress, we are not going be able to save it.”
“Fuck,” Logan swore.
Or: A second chance at life was never in the cards for Logan. Now that he has it, living it is easier said than done.

“Man, Rengoku really is something. We practically have the same hair color, and he’s way more popular than me.” Zenitsu scoffed and picked up the canister of tea, going to pour himself a cupful. He paused when he looked over at Tanjiro. “Tanjiro? You okay? Your face is all red.”
Tanjiro opened his mouth. He tried to find a way to encapsulate everything he was feeling just then, but nothing came to mind. He eventually decided on the simple truth.
“I’m…” Tanjiro clenched his hands around his lunchbox. “I’m going to confess today.”
Zenitsu’s tea erupted from his mouth onto the ground in front of him. Inosuke sat up, paying full attention for the first time all day.
“You what?” Zenitsu wiped his mouth clean with a napkin. “To who? Rengoku?”

“Hurry!” Tanjiro said, raising his voice. Even from this distance, the smell he hadn’t noticed before hit him full force. It stuck to the back of his throat like honey, working its way inside him and taking him hostage. He started panting, dragging in as much air as physically possible.
“Kyojuro…” Tanjiro stopped to swallow a fresh flood of saliva. “Kyojuro is in heat.”

As he scanned the contents of the fridge, something at the very back of the bottom shelf caught his eye. It was a container. A black capsule with a thin window in the front. Shiro brought it out for inspection, turning it over in his hands. It was heavy, containing a glowing liquid that Shiro had never seen before.
“Hey, Sendak?” he yelled, glancing back at the doorway. From his position, he couldn’t see Sendak, but from what he knew he would still be at his desk, toiling away. That wasn’t unusual.
This, though. This was new. As Shiro ran his thumb over the glass panel, he was startled to find that the liquid hummed.

Shiro didn’t meant to say it out loud. It had just…slipped out.
Since Voltron and the Blades of Marmora had started working together, their forces often intermingled during missions depending on the context. Anything that had to do with intel or subterfuge was often accompanied by a Blade. Shiro was no stranger to many of the Blade members since they worked so closely so often with the paladins, but this was a new experience for Shiro.
Sendak, former commander of the Galra Empire and the guy that had tried to kill all of them—twice!—stood in front of Shiro, his eyebrow raised. As if he had any reason to have doubts.
