Summary
*mind the tags, there is talk of homophobia*
Sirius and Remus are forced to come to terms with the hostility of the Ministry towards same-sex couples. (Pushed back a few years to the early 1960s)“Bastards,” was all Remus could manage, though it held substantial water coming from him. Sirius’s lack of yelling was particularly concerning to him; even trivial things were usually grounds for revolution in Sirius’s eyes. He should have been marching in the street, storming into the Ministry. Instead he stood nearly limp, misty eyes fixed on the smoke rings as they floated from his lips.
“It’s cruel, Remus,” Sirius’s voice was shaky, threatening to break at any moment.

Summary
“So—what are you suggesting? Friends?” She says the word like it tastes bitter, and it does.
Dorcas’ hand tightens on hers. “A truce. We work together to keep our houses from each other’s throats for as long as it takes to finish the season.”
“And you think that could actually work?”
“We’ll make it work.” Dorcas leans closer, until she’s all Marlene can see. “I want the chance to beat you.”
—
Or, Marlene grows into who she is meant to be, which comes with a side of being disastrously attracted to her Quidditch rival, Dorcas Meadowes. But when the conflict between their houses spirals out of control, they're forced to work together, or else risk being kicked off their teams. What could go wrong?

Summary
It's too far out of her way and she's wasting so much money, but Lily can't help but return to the bookstore every weekend, where her passion for good literature has, perhaps, been unexpectedly reignited by the messy-haired, pun-making, rather handsome bloke who works there.

Summary
Father Remus Lupin usually thinks of himself as a good person; he runs a youth group, takes shifts in the confessional every Sunday, and sticks to all of his vows (yes, even the one of celibacy). But he begins to think he's being punished when Sirius Black starts showing up in his confessional booth every week, describing in painstaking detail all the very, very sinful thoughts he's been having.
