Mobius sighs.
Footsteps echo in the silence; each one hitting Mobius like a thundercrash as they approach. Loki. He’ll probably just go after Sylvie…
Mobius wishes it just didn’t hurt so fucking much—rejection. It’s not even a real rejection. They’re friends. That’s more than Mobius could’ve ever hoped for from the God of Mischief; the person he’d been admiring for gods know how long. It’s inappropriate. Madness.
Mobius is ridiculous.
He closes his eyes. He’s so tired of seeing Loki run and walk away.
Except, he doesn’t.
“Hey…” That familiar, deep voice sounds, reaching Mobius’s ear like a sweet caress. A hand appears on Mobius’s shoulder—a squeeze. Gentle, grounding. “Let’s have some hot cocoa,” he offers.A retelling of the infamous ‘Sylvie - should - stop - projecting - and - verbally - attacking - others - before - she - looks - in - the - mirror’ scene in S2E4, in which Mobius actually gets comforted like he deserves.

Mobius is one of the strangest mortals Loki has ever met.
He's simultaneously the most snarky individual he's had the pleasure of meeting (barring, perhaps, Tony Stark) and also somehow the most patient anyone has ever been with Loki.
He smells faintly of saltwater and cigarette smoke, despite having never smoked a day in his life.
He can be cruel when he needs to, but he is an exceedingly emotional man. He's not built for the power he has. He works hard to hide it.
And Loki, despite himself, is hopelessly in love with him.

Summary
Loki had an obsession. He’d realized it after being told off by Sylvie for daydreaming on-shift one too many times. Sure, it was normal to be attracted to your partner, but he could not stop thinking about Mobius.
His face, obviously. The twinkles in his eyes, the crookedness of his broken nose, the way his laugh lines were exaggerated whenever he smiled… everything about the man made Loki want to get on his knees and worship.
The specifics of his obsession, however, strayed lower— his belly. After his discovery in the bookstore those months ago, it was Loki’s singular thought. He wanted to touch it, to kiss it, to— well. He wanted a lot. He wanted all of Mobius.

“You still have one more chance, Mobius,” Loki said, nodding at the final box on the coffee table.
Mobius grasped the box tightly, drawing it close to his face as he studied the tiny images of the figures on the back. The odds of getting the secret were 1 in 144. He cast a weary glance at the numerous duplicate figures lining his shelf, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he realised he had undoubtedly purchased far more than 144.
Upon visiting a random timeline in which President Loki had lost the election and went on to become a reality TV star, Mobius came across a series of collectables called “LOKI’s work experience”.
