Because Hollander is stupid and boring and does not deserve a dog as good as Chernysh. No, he doesn't, does he? Because Chernysh is the best boy in the whole world, yes he is.

The sound of joy has begun to settle down into a tense silence, some muttering and asking about what was going on.
“Be careful with his head,” Hayes is saying, voice thick with something. It is disturbing to see him so serious. Bood nods, and starts moving a lump out of the seat.
Ilya raises an eyebrow, confused. “Who is passed out in my seat?”
That is when Ilya finally sees what Bood and Hayes are crowding over. It is himself, his own body, passed out and slumped against the seat in the row in front of him. There is a worrying amount of blood coming out of his nose and a cut by the back of his head. Head wounds are terribly dramatic, but Ilya feels worried about this one. Mainly because he’s floating around like a ghost.
ilya gets hit on the head during the emergency landing in Tampa and thus begins his week-long stint as a ghost. whatever bad thing that can happen, the proceeds to do so. it's definitely not fun for ilya, and definitely not fun for shane either.

Nobara gets up slowly, legs sore. “So you’re telling me,” she says, flatly, because that’s just what she does, “that we’re at the ‘it’s not you, it’s me,’ stage of the relationship? That’s pretty unmanly of you, Mister Righteous.”
Fushiguro snorts. “This isn’t a story about heroes, Kugisaki,” he says. “The sooner you understand that, the easier it’ll be in the long run.”
Or, when Kugisaki Nobara turns fifteen, she dyes her hair bright orange, packs her life into seven separate polka-dotted suitcases, and leaves home. It’s the easiest thing she’s ever done.

Atsumu is a creature of habit. Sure, he tries new things when the pressure is on, and he pulls off gutsy plays without a second thought - but if Atsumu is a creature of habit, then Hinata is an agent of chaos. Atsumu can tell from here that for Hinata, there are no pre-game rituals executed religiously, no neurotic hard-to-break habits, no watermelon gum or forbidden double-knotted shoelaces: to Hinata, there’s only the split-second between his feet leaving the ground and the ball whizzing past his opponent to score the point - nothing matters but that fraction of a second.
And isn’t that sort of spectacular? That Atsumu spends his every spare moment siphoning good luck from heads-up-facing pennies and knuckles rapped against hollow wood? That he walks with his chin tucked into his chest because god forbid his foot pass over rifted concrete? That while Atsumu clings to every last thing he has control over, piecing together miracles with lucky pennies and trembling fingers, Hinata Shouyou laughs at the idea of gravity and creates opportunities from absurdities?

“Oh right, Annabeth. Like the one who’s walking this way right now?”
Percy spun around at inhuman speeds, jaw dropping open and eyes widening. Annabeth walked, no, strutted through the courtyard. Her hair was perfectly curly, Ravenclaw cloak, adorned with a new prefect badge, whipping behind her, calculating grey eyes focused straight ahead.
A strange noise escaped Percy’s lips, which caused Piper and Jason to burst into peals of laughter. Annabeth walked right past, without so much as a glance in their direction.
Percy turned back to his friends and ran his hand through his hair - somehow even more red in the face than before.
“You are such a dork,” Piper comforted him with a pat on the back , “a hopelessly in love dork.”
