Summary
There's something other to Gotham this night, more so than usual, keeping the citizens of Gotham City in the comfort of their homes, windows locked and doors bolted shut. The city is awake, they say, and she protects her own.
Tim follows the shadows.
Grapples up rooftops, and runs after the sound of hooves. Catches the edge of a wisp of shadow, and runs through alleyways after it. Up this rooftop, turning left again. Wait, again? He just saw this exhaust pipe, tilted like a questioning turn of the head. He turns around. Tim swears he just came this way. Could the city be...?
A LED sign flickers, turning his attention to it. Its screen goes white and a word takes center stage, blinking.
'WAIT'
Tim blinks in response. Well, if Gotham says so. He can wait. He's been waiting for years.

Or: Gotham is alive, but no one really knows. She fixes it.
