Talking shouldn’t be this difficult. It’s not like he is asking anything weird. They have been together for over a year now, have known each other for almost 3. Why is asking a simple question making Sasaki’s mouth and throat so dry it’s difficult to speak.
It almost feels like he is confessing all-over again. Sasaki still remembers the way his heart beat in his throat then and how, for a moment, he could only hear the rush of blood in his own ears. They had just been about to do a lot more than simply making out, and yet Sasaki’s heart is racing even more now than it did earlier.

Rean is not wringing his hands nervously or pacing the length of his room, seconds away from a crippling anxiety attack because if tonight doesn’t go right, if he scares Crow off, there won’t be a second chance and Rean has a spectacular track record of messing things up.
Still, Rean has survived worse, so he should be able to get through a date without ruining his chances.
The thing is, Crow lights something on fire inside him, something devastating and wonderful and terrifying but also incredible, and it makes Rean feel like he could fight Aidios herself and win.
You make me want to fight God is probably not something he should lead with. Or say out loud. Ever.
But that doesn’t make it any less true.

Gaius returns home to the Nord Highlands after graduating from Thor's. Some months later, unforeseen events send him away again. It's a tough adjustment.
Meanwhile, Wazy never asked for a new colleague to put a damper on his style but does he have to be so hot?
This story runs partially concurrent to Rumspringen, but it starts a couple of years before. If you're here for Yushimaki, know that it'll be quite a while before they appear. This is Gaius and Wazy's story. Much like they're a small part of Rumspringen, Jusis and Machias will be a small part here. You won't have to read Rumspringen to follow this one but we're kinda biased so we highly recommend it. As their overlap runs concurrently and not sequentially, reading order doesn't matter.
