“Y’know,” Deadpool said flatly, tone sending a prickle of warning up the back of Peter’s neck, “Yellow thinks you’re a hallucination. White thinks you’re an evil clone sent to kill me.” The fact that Deadpool was fingering his sidearm while he spoke to Peter was not reassuring.
Peter resisted the urge to bang his head against the bar wall because what the h--- had he been thinking? But he was here and he didn’t have any other options right now so...he had to try.
Peter took a deep breath. “Deadpool, I am not an evil clone. I need backup, people’s lives are at stake and I don’t have a lot of time!”
Deadpool looked unimpressed but at least he stopped caressing his gun. “Uh huh. What’s the pay?”

Set in the "Nothing Illegal Going on Here (aka Parker Luck)” universe AU where no one has powers. Peter Parker is a struggling college student and lucked into a job bartending at Sister Margaret's School for Wayward Girls, a high class nightclub which clearly is ~~in no way~~ a front for criminal activities.
He also has a monster crush on the owner, Wade Wilson but ~~he can totally repress~~ that has totally worked out for him. Totally.

Wade ignored the boxes and watched as Iron Man’s faceplate opened, revealing Tony f------- Stark’s face. The man stared at Peter. Turned to stare at Wade. Turned back to stare at Peter. “Kid. Why the f--- are you with Deadpool?”
“Ooh, you know who I am?” Wade clutched his hands together and did a pirouette while at the same time deciding how he could decapitate the f--- out of this guy. He was pretty sure he could get around the armor. Of course, since the faceplate was up right now a katana flung through the throat would easily...
The man in question glared at him. “Uh, yeah, I get the monthly memo on criminal mercenary sociopaths.”
“There’s a memo?” Wade gasped. “How do I get on the distribution list? I want to start a book club!”
Stark ignored him in favor of continuing to stare in disapproval at Peter. “Kid? Really? This is a life choice you’re making now?”

But on the road, he has nothing to occupy his time besides the occasional Skype call and cable TV. It gets harder to ignore the fact that Shane’s swapping sweet nothings with a man he still won’t let himself talk about.
