Summary
Ashton has made a mistake, and he is committed to taking his punishment, except this time it is interrupted by a bit of magic. The same magic that threw him into the desert as a kid throws him onto the roof of Xhorhaus seven years in the past.
He meets all of the Mighty Nein and painfully, but surely, gets a new perspective. The Mighty Nein realize they are, actually, pretty good at taking care of their own.
Together, they change the future.

Summary
Lucien is defeated, Mollymauk gets a second chance and (gradually) his memories back. It's not easy to find yourself having missed so much. Being surrounded by the people who love you helps.
I'm bad at summaries, but basically, as much as I respect Tal's decisions about his characters, I think it would make for a more interesting story in terms of identity, love and all kinds of nuanced relationship beats if Kingsley didn't pop up. This is an attempt at it.
