He remembers going on a mission with the League to take care of some intergalactic terrorists, just like he remembers catching a glimpse of Black Mercy and hearing Clark yell at him to watch out before everything went dark.
“This isn’t real, none of it.” Bruce whispers, watching as Hal sighs out in defeat and glances over at the dining room where their family is happily chattering.
“No, but wouldn’t it be nice if it were?”
Bruce takes a step towards Hal and gently cups his jaw, pressing a small kiss against the corner of his mouth. “It would be but it’s not, and I can’t stay here.”
