“Shut up and just give me a kiss.” Those were the words Junghwan had said as if it were no big deal, and that’s exactly what it was supposed to be—nothing serious — , just a simple joke meant to piss Jihoon off so they’d end up fighting like cats and dogs.
Although there was no doubt about it, Jihoon had shut up; Junghwan had left him speechless.

Summer is just a temporary reprieve. In a few short months, Youngjae and Dohoon will head off to their respective universities in California, and probably move on to find new best friends, and Jihoon (and Hanjin) will inevitably be left behind in the cold miserable Northeast to suffer through senior year. And as he watches Youngjae smile at him again, as Dohoon starts to cheer that “we’re finally fucking free!”, Jihoon can’t help but let out a quiet sigh.
Because a guy like Youngjae Choi could never, ever look at him and see anything more than just a younger friend. Right?—
or: Jihoon Han spends his senior year of high school pining after Youngjae, convinced that Youngjae will never see him as more than a high school friend. Little does he know, Youngjae might actually be the bigger idiot between the two of them.
