“Ready?” Matt hummed. “Got all your supplies?”
He was teasing him, even Dex could tell that. Normally he would reply with a snarky retort of his own, but his mouth was starting to feel a little dry. He wet his lips again with his tongue, and saw Matt’s head tilt down at him.
“Hey.” Matt placed a hand on the side of Dex’s face, stroking his cheekbone lightly with his thumb. “It’s alright. There’s no need to be nervous.”
“I’m not nervous.” Dex snapped.
Matt’s eyebrows rose. “Well alright then.” He leaned back a bit on the bed, taking his hand away. Dex found that his face felt abruptly cold without it. “Get on with it, superstar.”
Ok. Dex thought, taking a deep breath. Here goes nothing.
Dex has a few things to learn. Matt takes it upon himself to teach him.

“Yes, Benjamin.” Dex blinked at his tone. Matt’s voice was low, serious. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
Ok Dex thought, something like relief making his shoulders drop and his spine loosen as he stood up. Ok then.

“Thank you–” Dex’s voice cut off into another whine as Frank chose that exact moment to thrust, moving Dex further up Matt’s lap.

Matt presses a kiss to the crown of his head, then down his temple and scarred cheek—It feels like a claim, reminding Dex of how Matt holds the knife and he's merely dancing on the edge. His body sometimes shakes awake with the memory of hitting the cold ground, lungs shattered and ribs puncturing wounds inside him, blood spilling out of him like a river. He remembers knowing he was dying but never feeling so alive all at the same time, and some sickening part of him was glad that it was Matt. It almost felt like a gentle let down, considering what he'd done; what he took away from him.
