Summary
Henry Ferguson decided to leave his old self behind after the discovery of his biological parents’ identities and dark past. In an attempt to detach himself as much as he could from Joe and Love (whoever the fuck they were), he moved out after high school, changed his name (the name that they gave him didn’t feel like his anymore) and decided to become a cop. He’d been uncomfortably aware of his violent urges and potential for impulsivity his whole life, never quite understanding why, since his parents (his actual parents, who raised him) were nothing of the sorts and always taught him to be calm, collected and responsible. Now he knew why. And he needed to stop it before it was too late.
He also decided to start therapy, since that’s what traumatized people do, right? Who, oh who, shall be the lucky therapist who gets a glimpse inside the newly-born Will Graham’s mind, secrets and genetic heirloom?

Summary
After his release from the BSHCI, Will buys a quaint property using the FBI’s “We’re sorry we ruined your whole goddamn life” hush money and moves to his home state of Louisiana. He’s finally had enough of everyone’s bullshit and decides it’s in his best interest to forget about the Ripper and run as far away from civilization as he can get. Packing up his life in a single duffel, he leaves behind his house, job, friends, and most importantly, Hannibal fucking Lecter.

Summary
After avoiding capture in Baltimore, Hannibal escapes to Europe with Bedelia. However, their relationship is less than ideal, so he's easily swayed by the attention of a man who just so happens to look exactly like the man that broke his heart back in the States.
Waking up after almost dying, Will realizes that he won't be able to move on with his life without seeing Hannibal at least one more time. He has questions that need answers, so he will cross oceans to find the man who left him behind. However, when he finds Hannibal, it seems he's moved on with someone who looks strangely familiar.
(Or, instead of killing Antony, Hannibal starts a fling with him while in Florence in an attempt to move on from Will. It doesn't work, especially when Will suddenly shows up in Italy looking for him. Diverging from Antony's death S3E1.)
