“Werewolves aren’t real,” Maki says, but he doesn’t sound convincing even to himself. His mind is playing the memory on a loop—the feeling of standing on four paws and howling to a deep red moon.
Four paws.
“Oh,” Jo says, and they sit there for a long, long moment, both unspeaking. “I think they are real,” he says eventually, and Maki can feel himself rocking slightly where he sits.
“How—how can they be real?” he stammers. “How can I be a werewolf? It doesn’t make sense. My, my family are normal, I’ve always been normal, it’s just a show—a TV show, I play a werewolf, I’m not an actual werewolf—”

There’s this face he keeps seeing in his dreams, of a beautiful man. In his dreams, Jaemin loves him. If he were to adopt Jaemin, Jaemin would be okay with that. He’s not sure about anyone else, though.

“We thought you’d got lost!” Daeyoung says, opening her arms for a hug. Riku has her signature perfume on, and her long, soft hair caresses Daeyoung’s cheek as they embrace.
“I did, I missed my subway stop! Did you start without me?”
“You know I couldn’t wrangle Saku if I tried,” Daeyoung says, taking Riku’s hand and pulling her inside the arcade. “Don’t worry. We have plenty of time to beat Yushi on DDR.”
“We will need plenty of time for that.”
“No, no! You should have faith in me! I can beat her today!”
Riku laughs, and Daeyoung’s chest glows. Now that Riku is here, their day can really start.

“Yeah, why not,” Nicholas says with a laugh of his own, slumping back into his seat with crossed arms, a satisfied cat. “I wear a couple dresses and skirts and whatnot; you tell your uncle your girlfriend can’t speak Korean and then, boom. You and I get to live it up on the beach… Besides, I know how much you miss it there.”
He clears his throat, but his voice cracks anyway when he adds, “What kind of best friend would I be if I didn’t do this for you?”

Summary
The problem is— as it turns out— Maki is a really normal guy. He’s polite, and clean, and he takes all of Harua’s suggestions in stride. When he comes home late, he’s quiet enough that Harua doesn’t even hear him. He’s kind, and devastatingly sexy, and he’s shirtless more often than not when they’re home. He’s a good roommate.
Harua wants to destroy him. He can’t live like this. He’s a principled man, and principled men don’t fall for men that rejected them already. That’s humiliating.

Losing San has been Wooyoung’s greatest fear for the better part of his life. Everything that comes up later in the list are just addendums to it. It’s not rocket science. It’s why he always jokes that there is no need for a psychic to read his mind. A few minutes of conversation and a brief glance at how he looks at San are enough.
Or, Wooyoung has had a bad run-in with a supervillain specializing in illusions, and with his greatest fears laid bare to him, San is the only one who can pull him out of the chaos. It's not the first time, and it certainly won't be the last.
